
Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a multinational electronic and IT company headquartered in Seoul, South Korea has recently launched three new bada Wave Smart phones. These are Wave 3, Wave M and the Wave Y.
The three new smartphones are based on the new bada 2.0 platform innovated by Samsung. The bada 2.0 platform system brings the capability of multi tasking, Wi-Fi Direct and voice recognition to the smartphone world. It also provides an optional Near Field Communication capability. A user on these smartphones can expect to have services such as file sharing without internet connectivity, mobile payments etc.
These smartphones also consist of normal Samsung features such as ChatON, Samsung Apps etc., which are quite popular among users.
The Wave 3
The Wave 3 smartphone comes with a 1.4 GHz processor, with a 4″ WVGA super amoled 480X800 display. The smartphone comes with two cameras. The one on rear is a 5 MP auto focus with LED flash and the front one is is VGA camera. It supports MPEG4/H.263/H.264/DivX video formats, while it can record and play back 720p High Definition video content at 30 frames per second. The audio files supported are MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA/AMR/ MID/WAV. The 3.5 mm ear jack provides the universal connectivity, and it comes with inbuilt stereo FM radio. The smartphone has a number of connectivity options such as Bluetooth® technology v 3.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. The phone with Accelerometer, Digital compass, Proximity sensors comes with inbuilt memory of 4GB plus an option to support a micro SD card of up to 32 GB. The phone weighing 122 g, boasts of a talk time of up to 14.2 hours (2G), Up to 8.8 hours (3G) and Standby Time of Up to 535 hours (2G), Up to 517 hours (3G).
The Wave M
The Wave M smartphone comes with an 832 MHz processor, with a 3.65″ HVGA 320X480 TFT LCD display. The smartphone comes with two cameras. The one on rear is a 5 MP auto focus with LED flash and the front one is VGA camera. It supports MPEG4/H.263/H.264/DivX video formats, while it can record and play back HVGA video content at 30 frames per second. The audio files supported are MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA/AMR/MID/WAV. The 3.5 mm ear jack provides the universal connectivity, and it comes with inbuilt stereo FM radio. The smartphone has a number of connectivity options such as Bluetooth v 3.0, USB 2.0 + HS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct. The phone with Accelerometer and Proximity sensors comes with inbuilt memory of 150 MB plus an option to support a micro SD card of up to 32 GB. The phone weighing 121 g, boasts of a talk time of up to 16.5 hours (2G), Up to 6.6 hours (3G) and Standby Time of Up to 642 hours (2G), Up to 482 hours (3G).
The Wave Y
The Wave Y smartphone comes with an 832 MHz processor, with a 3.2″ HVGA 320X480 TFT LCD display. The smartphone comes with a camera of 2 MP fast focuses with LED flash. It supports MPEG4-SP/H.263/H.264/DivX video formats, while it can record and play back HVGA video content at 30 frames per second. The audio files supported are MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA/AMR/MID/WAV. The 3.5 mm ear jack provides the universal connectivity, and it comes with inbuilt stereo FM radio. The smartphone has a number of connectivity options such as Bluetooth v 3.0, USB 2.0 + HS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct. The phone with Accelerometer and Proximity sensors comes with inbuilt memory of 150 MB plus an option to support a micro SD card of up to 32 GB. The phone weighing 102.4 g, boasts of a talk time of up to 13 hours (2G), Up to 4.6 hours (3G) and Standby Time of Up to 570 hours (2G), Up to 390 hours (3G).

I have wave 525 which also has a bada OS. It functions great.
