Be prepared to welcome the tiniest yet fully functional 4G smart phone in the market- the HP Veer. It is a cute, sleek and adorable gadget, equipped with webOS 2.1 and at the same time modern from every angle.

It comes with a Just Type QWERTY keyboard that has all the options and also numerous other amazing apps which get displayed on its mini 2.6” screen when desired, giving a maximum resolution of 320×400 pixels.

Armed with an 800MHz processor it has a small 910mAh battery. This pocket-fitting smart phone can give you 5 hrs of talk time when charged once and more than 300 hrs standby. The 8GB internal memory more than suffices, but it lacks the option to expand memory further.

Design

The HP Veer has a classy exterior with deep black coatings and soft touch feel. The hinge allows you to slide it easily with a simple snap. The screen is covered with a clear and curved Gorilla glass which does not soil easily. The speaker is placed on the top and the gesture area is at the bottom along with an LED landing strip indicator. A 5 mega pixel EDoF camera is placed at the back and the rest of the features are all efficient and well placed. It is a sliding smart phone with the keyboard buttons neatly put together for easy maneuvering. But it may not withstand falling from your hands as this may harm some of its features irreversibly.

Audio and Display

The tiny audio speaker amazes you with its capabilities and is quite loud and clear. Display is bright and pleasant on the eyes. Sometimes it tends to glare too much but then that can be overlooked given the clarity of the display. The connectivity is fairly fast and uploading is comparably quick. Quick downloads and quick GPS locking are the other advantages of this tiny smart phone. Call quality and reception is good too. Being a 4G smart phone is an added benefit since you get connected very speedily to the internet as well as your calls are taken through at supersonic speed.

The web Operating System

The 2.0 version of the web OS delivers what it promises and is intuitive and user friendly. Whatever you wish to do is achieved by just a few swipes and that too efficiently. The apps are arranged as virtual playing cards and all you need to do is swipe open the app drawer and you can start working. You can simultaneously snap and begin to work on two apps and that is one good feature of the webOS. YouTube, Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter, Pandora or whatever you need can be accessed within a few seconds on the web OS.

All in all this $99.99 smart phone, the HP Veer is definitely worth the buy and more than satisfies you as a complete smart phone, despite its miniature yet adorable look.
